The 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is the most aggressive off-road package yet. It got red tow hooks, large skid plates, Trailhawk decals, all-terrain tires, and 18-inch wheels. It’s the only Grand Cherokee in the lineup to carry the Trail Rated badge, so you know it’s essential.
Depending on how far up the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee ladder you want to go, an SUV might sound like a luxury option to you. Even the Trailhawk, which is positioned as an SUV and sits in the middle of the lineup, can be equipped with features that will make you question whether you’re driving a Jeep – provided you are inclined to shell out the necessary funds.
The infotainment system is superb, the digital dash has just the right amount of modes to scroll through, and the SUV looks gorgeous inside. There are too many buttons on the center console. Our test car was powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. We never felt like the Trailhawk suffered from power, but for those buyers who want more, a 357-hp 5.7-liter Hemi is available with 390 lb.-ft. Both engines send those ponies through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels.
